Garden Fencing & Walling in Skipton and Yorkshire

Fences and walls take the full force of the Yorkshire weather, so they need to be built properly from the ground up. Crown Hill Contracting installs garden fencing, gates and walling for homes, farms and commercial properties across North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Lancashire. Every post is set firm and every wall built on a sound footing, to the same high standard as the rest of our construction work.

Garden Fencing

Whether you need privacy, a secure boundary for children and pets or stock-proof fencing for a field, we supply and fit fencing to suit the job:

Close board and feather edge timber fencing
Panel fencing and trellis tops
Post and rail fencing for paddocks, drives and gardens
Stock and field fencing for farms and land
Replacement of old, leaning or storm damaged fences

Gates

We hang timber garden gates, side gates and field gates, made to fit the opening and hung on posts that won’t drop. Where a standard gate won’t do, we can make one: our on site fabrication service builds bespoke steel gates and railings to measure.

Drystone and Brick Walling

Stone walls are part of the landscape around Skipton and the Dales. We build and repair drystone walls, feature walls in natural stone, and brick and block walls, including retaining walls for sloping gardens and raised beds. Retaining walls are built on proper foundations with drainage behind them, so the weight of wet soil doesn’t push them over in years to come. Walling often goes hand in hand with a new patio or a full landscaping project.

Fencing and Walling Across Yorkshire and Lancashire

We put up fencing and build walls in Skipton, Cononley, Keighley, Settle, Harrogate, Bradford, Burnley and the areas in between. For a free, no obligation quote, call Tom on 07722 161675 or send us your details.

Patios and Paving

“Within budget and on time” only goes part of the way to explaining why choosing the local firm, Crown Hill Contracting Ltd, was a good decision. Their accurate assessment of both what needed to be done and the materials that would be used, together with a high standard of construction work, has resulted in a project completed with minimum disruption that has won praise from us and our neighbours. Thank you very much.

Patio and Paving

Thank you so much once again for doing our garden. I can’t believe how fast you managed to turn it around! It looks fantastic and you’ve put my mind at rest knowing the walls are safe, especially on the public path side. Please thank the other guys who came too; you’ve all smashed it and left it looking exactly how we wanted it, as well as very neat and tidy. We will be in touch for more work in the future and will be 100% recommending you to all!

Flagging – Patio

From the initial planning visit through to completion, it was evident that Tom prides himself on providing quality workmanship and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Tom and his team were professional and respectful of the environment in which they worked – they were punctual, hardworking and the site was kept clean and tidy. As the project progressed, Tom regularly checked in with me to make certain that I was happy with the work and to accommodate any changes that I wanted to make, and this extended to a post-completion visit. I can highly recommend CHC.

I recently had artificial grass installed in my garden, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The team was incredibly professional from start to finish, working efficiently and completing the job much quicker than I expected. Their attention to detail was outstanding, and they made sure everything was done to the highest standard. Would highly recommend.
