On Site Fabrication & Welding in Skipton and Yorkshire

Not every opening is a standard size and not every problem has an off the shelf answer. Crown Hill Contracting offers on site fabrication and welding across North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Lancashire, making bespoke steelwork that’s measured, built and fitted to suit the job. Because we fabricate as well as carry out groundworks and construction, we can make and install the metalwork for a project ourselves instead of waiting on a separate supplier.

What We Fabricate

Steel gates and security gates for homes, farms and businesses
Railings and balustrades for steps, platforms and drops
Steel platforms, landings and walkways with grating
Cattle grids for farm tracks and entrances
Field gates and farm yard steelwork
Brackets, frames and structural steel solutions

Gates and Railings

We make gates and railings to fit the opening exactly, from tall steel security gates for sheds and farm buildings to railings around steps and raised areas. They can be combined with our fencing and walling to give you a complete, secure boundary.

Platforms and Structural Steel

Where ground levels make access difficult, a fabricated steel platform can be the answer. We’ve built galvanised steel platforms with grating and railings to give level access to raised doorways, along with frames and supports for buildings and machinery. As groundworks contractors, we can also put in the footings and bases the steelwork stands on.

Fabrication Across Yorkshire and Lancashire

We carry out fabrication and welding work in Skipton, Keighley, Settle, Harrogate, Bradford, Burnley and the surrounding areas. Tell us what you need: call Tom on 07722 161675 or get in touch for a free, no obligation quote.

Tom did a great job laying a stone patio upon which we will put a summerhouse. A really clean and tidy job. Tom was also able to advise on ideas, materials, sizing etc. Really professional. Honest pricing. Thanks Tom.

Patios and Paving

“Within budget and on time” only goes part of the way to explaining why choosing the local firm, Crown Hill Contracting Ltd, was a good decision. Their accurate assessment of both what needed to be done and the materials that would be used, together with a high standard of construction work, has resulted in a project completed with minimum disruption that has won praise from us and our neighbours. Thank you very much.

Patio and Paving

Thank you so much once again for doing our garden. I can’t believe how fast you managed to turn it around! It looks fantastic and you’ve put my mind at rest knowing the walls are safe, especially on the public path side. Please thank the other guys who came too; you’ve all smashed it and left it looking exactly how we wanted it, as well as very neat and tidy. We will be in touch for more work in the future and will be 100% recommending you to all!

Flagging – Patio

From the initial planning visit through to completion, it was evident that Tom prides himself on providing quality workmanship and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Tom and his team were professional and respectful of the environment in which they worked – they were punctual, hardworking and the site was kept clean and tidy. As the project progressed, Tom regularly checked in with me to make certain that I was happy with the work and to accommodate any changes that I wanted to make, and this extended to a post-completion visit. I can highly recommend CHC.

Their attention to detail was outstanding, and they made sure everything was done to the highest standard. Would highly recommend.
